Nesco Resource is looking for a Toolmaker in Waterbury, CT. Thisis a temp to perm opportunity for the right candidate.

Skills and ExperiencePosition Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experiencedToolmaker with a minimum of 7 years in the trade to join ourprecision manufacturing team. This position requires a high levelof craftsmanship and attention to detail, with a focus on producinghigh-tolerance carbide and steel tooling to blueprintspecifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Manufacture precision partsand custom tooling using conventional machines, EDMs, and Prototrakmills (2- and 3-axis) Interpret and work from detailed engineeringdrawings and blueprints Maintain tight tolerances ranging from0.0002 ” to 0.0005 ” Utilize a variety of materials including:
Aluminum Mild steel Tool steel Alloy and stainless steels TitaniumVarious plastics Apply a thorough understanding of geometricdimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) Operate and maintain manualEDM machines Work in a small team environment within a specializedcarbide tooling department Ensure quality, accuracy, and timelinessof finished parts Collaborate with team members to meet productiongoals and deadlines Follow safety and operational protocols at alltimes
Qualifications:
Minimum 7 years of toolmaking experience in aprecision machining environment Proficient in reading blueprintsand applying geometric tolerancing Hands-on experience withPrototrak mills (2- and 3-axis programming required) Skilled inconventional machining and EDM operation Strong knowledge ofvarious metals and plastics used in toolmaking Ability to workindependently and as part of a collaborative team Strong attentionto detail and pride in craftsmanship Willingness to work overtimeas needed Experience working in a carbide tooling departmentFamiliarity with quality assurance processes and inspection toolsAbility to stand for extended periods Manual dexterity for finedetail work Lifting and handling materials and tools as neededNesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for ourassociates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) planthat encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (EmployeeAssistance Program) services.
