Machine Shop Technical Documentation Specialist Atlantis Employment Services Coconut Creek, FL 33073 Overview The Aluminum Corporation, Coconut Creek Florida, is looking for a Machine Shop Process Technical Documentation Specialist. Reports to the General Manager.

• We are seeking a competent Machine Shop Process Documentation Specialist to document the activities and processes of our machine shop.
• The Technical Documentation Specialist responsibilities include documenting the shop’s operations, ensuring production standards are met, ensuring machines functions optimally, and leading and managing the team of machine operators.
• Our ideal candidate has a sound understanding of machine shop procedures and excellent technical writing skills.
• They should also be able to ensure our business objectives are achieved through the efficient use of resources in the machine shop.

Duties and Responsibilities Include:

Job Responsibilities:

• Write, review, and document work instructions for various processes within a metal fabrication area (i.e. manual and CNC machining, welding, fabrication, assembly, and painting)
• Ensure all Work Instructions are clear and concise, ie Standard Operating Procedures
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather and validate technical information
• Ensure the accuracy, consistency and quality of all work instructions

Education and Competencies:

• Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, Engineering, Manufacturing or technical-related field
• 3 years of technical writing experience, ideally within the manufacturing, industrial, or metal fabrication setting
• Strong understanding of metal fabrication processes
• Sound technical knowledge in fabrication and assembly, with formal documented training
• Demonstrates good judgement and decision making
• Timeliness and follow-up on open tasks and activities
• Customer-focused with strong communication skills
• Strong skills in MS Office and basic knowledge of CAD software Inspecting completed works to ensure quality and compliance with specifications Reviewing and documenting project designs for accuracy and detail Ensuring the shop’s compliance with regulations and safety standards Qualifications Proven experience as a Manufacturing Technical Writer Extensive knowledge of machine shop procedures and machinery Good leadership and team management skills Strong understanding of safety and quality standards Good problem-solving and troubleshooting documentation skills Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

Job Type:

Full-time Pay:

$60,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
