Toolmaker Jig And Fixture:

As a Tool and Die Maker, you will beresponsible for using a range of materials, including metals,fiberglass, thermal plastics, and other fabrication materials, tocreate and maintain both soft and hard tooling for manufacturingprocesses. Repairs and fabricates dies and metal tools for ourmanufacturing facility. In this role, you will be required tointerpret designs, cut and shape tools and dies, and assemble thecompleted parts. Read and interpret blueprints, design schematics,and CAD drawings. Visualizing and computing metal shapes andtolerances. Design jigs and templates as work aids in thefabrication of tools. Measuring and marking metal stock formachining. Setting up and operating machine tools such as drills,lathes, grinders, and milling machines. Cutting and shaping blocksto specified dimensions. Filling, grinding, and shimming metals toensure a smooth finish. Fitting and assembling tools and die parts.

Inspecting finished dies and form tools for defects, smoothness,and contour deformities. In-depth knowledge of machine tools andtheir uses. Excellent attention to detail. Advanced troubleshootingskills. Sets up and runs CNC machining centers. Apprenticeship orequivalent training and experience. Highly motivated team player.
