7am-3:30pm with the possibility of overtime, will be on-call as needed Were looking for skilled CNC Machinists who are eager to grow and expand their expertise. If you have experience in CNC machining or Tool & Die maintenance, we want to hear from you! Candidates should have a background in programming and troubleshooting, and a strong desire to learn and grow in a dynamic manufacturing environment. This is a great direct hire opportunity in Kansas City, MO. Tool & Die Technician Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Perform welding, grinding, operation of cranes, machining, and fabrication
  • Smooth flat and contoured surfaces using power grinders, fits, and assembles parts together and into assemblies and mechanisms
  • Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances
  • Perform machining, finishing, assembly, and tuning of dies
  • Carry out emergency repairs if any issues arise
  • Perform die modifications for surface quality and accuracy
  • Set up and operate machine tools such as lathes, milling machine, shaper, and grinder to machine parts, and verify conformance of machined parts to specifications
  • Work in a team setting
  • Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances
  • Adhere to ISO 14001 and
IATF 16949

  • Log daily book entries to communicate activities, issues, and progress of die work

Die Maintenance Supervisor/Maintenance Manager Tool & Die Technician Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required), Technical Degree preferred
  • Some electrical and mechanical knowledge
  • Demonstrated success in troubleshooting and problem-solving
  • Technical knowledge and skills in the following areas: tool and die, welding, machining
  • Strong mechanical and shop math aptitude (preferred)
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical documentation
  • Strong technical capacity to perform required repairs/maintenance while following safety protocol
  • Ability to be licensed to operate powered industrial equipment
  • Troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Experience building and/or maintaining high volume casting (or stamping) dies, welding ability, and machining
  • Experience in industrial maintenance and/or military experience
    (LOTO) Lockout / Tag-out
  • Adhere to attendance policy
  • Proficient in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Regularly communicate and listen
  • Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, ascending/descending stairs, and climbing all day
  • Frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus Help for Employer Information.
