Summary (What/Why/Coverage)-

Main Activities:

The Support Service Technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain melt blown cassettes, web former belts, slitter knives, and hammer mill blades according to safety, predictive and preventative maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of Fitesa’s business goals and objectives.

Ethical Conduct Communication Proficiency Results Driven Initiative Attention to detail Safety and health compliance Key Responsibilities (What/How): Responsible for maintaining meltblown cassette cleaning and components. Responsible for changing all dies and meltblown cassettes. Responsible for repairs, tracking, and maintenance of slitter knives and counter knives Responsible for repairs, tracking and maintenance of slitter air shafts Responsible for repairs, tracking and maintenance of the hammer mill blades • Follow all company safety procedures. • Follow safe operation of hoists and attachments on all lines. Disassemble, clean, and rebuild, with moderate repairs of the MB dies. Maintaining the quality to meet production and quality needs. Maintain MB apron inventory, cleaning and repairs as needed. Follow procedures for nonconforming dies. Lead and perform removal and installation of dies and cassettes on production lines.

Maintain die related records:

spinneret and die performance, die changes, etc. Repair and maintain knife related records: knife tracking, parts used/replaced, etc. Monitor and respond to throughput and yield upsets, which includes performing die or cassette replacement. Maintain pack room tools in good working condition. Maintain the pack room and equipment according to 5S (OLA) standards. Maintain the pack room tools according to 5S (OLA) standards. Develop and perform best die tip cleaning practices. Maintaining adequate stock levels of spin pack repair parts. Maintaining adequate stock levels of knife and air shaft repair parts Participate in scheduling and tracking of tasks to be performed during preventive maintenance down time for HP7.
