We are in search of candidates that have experience analyzing specifications, setting up/operating machine tools, fits and assembling parts to fabricate components for custom automated manufacturing equipment. We are seeking candidates who have between 4-6 years of experience or training within this industry. You must have the ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, fundamentals of plane/solid geometry and trigonometry. Belmont, New Hampshire job type: Permanent salary: $54,000 – 65,000 per year work hours: 8am to 4pm education: High School responsibilities: Operate all tool room equipment proficiently. CNC Lathes, Millers, grinders, Bridgeport, manual lathe, grinders , proficiency in CAD Works with engineers to help develop custom solutions to difficult mechanical problems. Designs and fabricates and tests proof-of-concept mock-ups to prove out new concepts, and dial-in operating parameters (tool geometry, cutting speeds, feed rates, etc) Studies specifications such as blueprints, sketches, models, or descriptions, and visualizes product to determine materials required and machines to be used to fabricate parts Calculates dimensions, plans layout, and determines assembly method and sequence of operations Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathes, milling machine, shaper, jig borer, job grinders, grinder and honing machine, to machine or fabricate parts and verifies conformance of machined parts to specifications Smooths flat and contoured surfaces with power grinders, and fits and assembles parts together into assemblies and mechanisms Verifies dimensions, alignments, and clearances Heat treats tools and parts Brazes and welds (MIG and TIG a plus) parts Metal fabrication – working with sheet metal Examines standard or previously used dies, tools, and jigs and fixtures, and recommends design modifications regarding construction and function of part Develops specifications from general descriptions for specialty tools and draws or sketches design of product. Lifts machine parts and positions and secures parts on surface plate or worktable Occasional involvement in alignment and fabrication of components on custom automation built in house Some day or overnight travel may be required to support the field service at other facilities qualifications: Experience level: Experienced Minimum 4 years of experience
