GENERAL A.

Should assume responsibility for the safe and effective operation and maintenance of the hyperbaric chamber(s) and related systems and ancillary components. B. Reports to the Nurse Practitioner or Physician in-charge. C. Supervises each HBO treatment or ensures that treatments are supervised only by qualified staff trained in hyperbaric medicine. D. Provides all patient education and patient care in the HBO Unit. 2.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE A.

Certified Hyperbaric Technologist – Required. B. Allied Health professional – Preferred. 3.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES A.

Assists in patient preparation for treatment. B. Performs patient assessments in coordination with the Nurse Practitioner or Physician. C. Keeps complete and accurate patient records as they pertain to treatment documentation. D. Performs hyperbaric chamber operations and system maintenance as required. E. Maintains a safe environment in the hyperbaric facility for patients and staff and uses approved and recognized monoplace treatment protocols. 4.
