Erie, PA Overview:
Modern Industries is seeking a skilled Tool & Die Maker with a strong background in tool and die making. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work independently and possess hands-on experience with Bridgeports, engine lathes, and surface grinders. This is a long-term, full-time, direct hire opportunity for someone willing to work 1st and 2nd shift.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform precision machining using Bridgeport mills, engine lathes, and surface grinders Design and fabricate fixtures Execute tool and die work to support manufacturing operations Interpret technical drawings and blueprints Maintain equipment and ensure a clean, safe work area Work independently to meet production and quality standards
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Tool & Die Maker or Class A Machinist Proficient in fixture design and use of manual machining equipment Formal training or education in Tool & Die (preferred) Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Ability to work flexible shifts (1st and 2nd)
