As a Tool Maker, you will be responsible for designing, creating, and maintaining precision tools and equipment used in the production process. Your expertise will ensure that our manufacturing operations run smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities Design and fabricate tools, dies, and fixtures according to specifications. Operate hand tools and machinery to produce parts that meet quality standards. Interpret schematics and technical drawings to understand tooling requirements. Use CAD software, such as SolidWorks, to create detailed designs and modifications. Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance. Employ precision measuring instruments, including calipers and micrometers, to verify dimensions and tolerances. Collaborate with engineers and production staff to troubleshoot issues related to tooling. Qualifications Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in tooling and fabrication. Proficient in using hand tools and machinery relevant to tool making. Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks for designing tools. Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings accurately. Strong skills in using precision measuring instruments like calipers for quality control. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
