Job Description Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

Obtain job assignments from supervisor or manager.
Work safely under functional safety guidelines such as PPE and equipment interaction.
Correctly interpret work orders.
Operate all required equipment (Lathes, Grinders, Mills, etc.)
Machine complex components
Manage area inventories & order supplies as needed.
Assist in R D work (working with engineering & production)
Provide leadership and training to lower-level employees
Work in a team environment, i.e. follow instructions and assist others as needed.
Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition.
Perform daily housekeeping / 6S activities as required.
Perform other duties as requested by supervisor or manager.

Required Skills:

Basic English language skills and the ability to read, follow, and interpret planning and work order instructions
Advanced shop math
Advanced print reading
Advance machining knowledge (Manual & CNC)
Advanced inspection tools and processes
Advanced trouble shooting, (Product & Equipment)
Advanced knowledge of materials (Carbide, etc.)
The ability to navigate intranet to locate process documents – basic computer skills
The ability to read and interpret work instructions and basic prints and dimensions
US Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required due to government military contracts. Experience & Education Typically, 5+ Years of experience in a manufacturing environment
GED or High School diploma

Trade School/Internal Certification Desired Working Conditions:

Constant exposure to indoor manufacturing environment
Constant exposure to moderate noise
Working conditions may include small spaces, dust, fumes, odors, hot / cold temperatures, inside / outside noise vibration, standing on concrete for long hours and wet or uneven surfaces.
Must be able to work any shift including overtime, weekends and holidays if scheduled.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to thirty-five (35) pounds on a repetitive basis.
Must be able to stand, walk, bend, squat, climb, kneel, twist and work at heights on an intermittent basis for up to twelve (12) hours.
Requires hand manipulation including simple grasping, pushing and pulling of materials.
Must be able to safety operate an overhead crane.
Must be able to reach and work above and below the shoulder level.
Must be able to work with and around forklifts and hazardous machinery.
Must be able to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment.
