Job Description
Position Summary Toolmaker performs repairs and engineering changes on molds and dies in the mold shop. Role and Responsibilities 1st Shift, 2nd Shift, Third Shift Available 1. Disassembly/Assembly of molds/dies. 2. Run ALL machine shop equipment related to tool and die industry (lathe , milling machine, surface grinder, TIG welder and various hand tools). 3. Ability to troubleshoot problems at the press. 4. Understanding of injection mold/press die process. 5. Read/Understand 2D and 3D drawing data related to molds/dies. 6. All other duties as assigned #LI
- ONSITE Skills and Qualifications
Education:
Minimum
- High School Diploma or GED required. Preferred
- 2yr degree in Machine Tool Technology or Apprenticeship in Tool and Die. Journeyman’s card in tool and die making or machining, with Deep Draw Experience also preferred.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years’ experience with die repair or new build
Knowledge:
All aspects of the Tool and Die trade.
Skills:
Disassembly/Assembly of mold/dies, manual machining, troubleshooting.
- Physical requirement: Stand, push, pull, bend over, perform repetitive motions and lift up to 35 lbs. + Ability, with or without reasonable accommodation, to work any shift and work overtime + Ability to stand for long periods of time + Ability to bend at the knees and hips + Ability to perform repetitive motions with hands and arms
