The Position Responsible for the repair, maintenance,and enhancement of all tooling, dies, jigs, fixtures, and fittingsfor press tools and CNC equipment, ensuring alignment withproduction and customer requirements to support businessobjectives. Provide support for new tooling during productintroductions to guarantee the robustness of production builds.

Engage in various phases or sub-tasks of projects or entireprojects of moderate complexity, with outcomes impacting projectcompletion. Work under general supervision, with progress reviewedat project milestones and upon project completion by SeniorManagement. Job Description Primary Responsibilities Performsscheduled preventative maintenance on all tooling; familiar withwork orders and troubleshoots tooling problems impactingproduction. Assess, build, and repair damage to molds and otherproduction tooling. Make-to-suit complex drill jigs, holdingfixtures, and templates. Proficiency in setting up and operatingCNC machines, including knowledge of various machining techniquesand tooling; Strong programming skills with the ability to writeand edit code programs. Familiar with CAM software. Performs setup,calibration, maintenance, programming and operation on a variety ofmachining equipment including lathes, surface grinders, drillpresses, milling machines, computer numerically controlled andhydraulic presses to assemble and/or fabricate parts and complexassemblies. Performs Welding (TIG, MIG, and Stick) Implement soundPM program on Molds and tools. This includes organizing thetoolroom, so all work activities are scheduled, well-structured anddocumented. Computes dimensions and tolerances and measures andlays out work pieces. Verifies dimensions of products for accuracyand conformance to specifications using precision measuringinstruments such as calipers, gauges and micrometers troubleshoots,debugs and modifies to achieve expected performance Reads andinterprets specification manuals, blueprints, templates and layoutsto determine machining operation to be performed includinginterpreting geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)symbols. Assist in new tool startups and tool validation Maintainfull documentation related to production mold revisions,procurement, vendor and customer qualifications. Participates inDFM reviews. Organize pins and molds and keep updated Participatesin continuous improvement projects Cross trains in othercomplementary skills and seeks endorsements for those skills asneeded to support production requirements. Responsible forobserving all applicable safety requirements, reporting immediatelyany unsafe practices/conditions and correct use of appropriatepersonal protective equipment. Willingness to provide leadershipand work in a team-oriented environment. Provide technical supportand plastic expertise to support smooth operation of equipment andprocesses. Communicate effectively with supervisors, managers, andsales team with progress of scheduled projects. Work with variousdepartments and managers to maintain quality and improve processes.

Perform sample experiments of mold processes in order to perfectoperations. Test and debug final tools prior to run off withcustomers.

Job Requirements Education Completion of anApprentice or Journeymen Toolmaking program or 4 years ofequivalent work experience. Skills & Relevant Work ExperienceKnowledge of high cavitation molding of precision small parts.

Specific experience in compression and injection molding ispreferred. Computer proficiency in 3D and 2D CAD, Microsoft Office.

Experience as a CNC Machinist/Programmer. Good understanding ofmeasuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, depthmics, indicators). Excellent attention to detail andproblem-solving skills. Strong written and verbal communicationskills. Knowledge of plastic processing and plastic materials.

Knowledge of tool design and molding principles. Excellent writtenand verbal communication skills Strong organizational skills andability to prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with a strongattention to detail. Strong time-management skills and an abilityto organize and coordinate multiple concurrent projects. Proficientin HRM Systems, Microsoft 365 (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) andAdobe Acrobat Very strong interpersonal skills and the ability tobuild relationships with key stakeholders. Demonstrates discretion,professionalism, and decorum in all interactions. Bilingual skillsin Spanish and English a plus. Physical Requirements Must be ableto lift up to 50 lbs. Requires excellent mobility and the use ofproper lifting techniques to avoid injury. Must be able to standfor 8 hours per day. Must have very good manual dexterity, use ofhand and eye coordination and fine motor skills. May be exposed tohigh levels of heat. Must be able to stoop, bend, crouch, walk andsit.
