This role is essential in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment facilities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and have a passion for environmental sustainability. As a Wastewater Operator, you will be responsible for monitoring equipment, performing repairs, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. Duties Operate and maintain wastewater treatment equipment, including pumps, valves, and tanks. Perform routine inspections and troubleshoot equipment issues to ensure optimal performance. Conduct data collection and analysis to monitor system performance and compliance with regulatory standards. Utilize distributed control systems to manage treatment processes effectively. Engage in equipment repair and maintenance tasks as necessary, including plumbing and heavy equipment operation. Build and maintain effective working relationships with team members and other departments. Apply basic math skills to assist in calculations related to chemical dosing and flow rates. Requirements Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in equipment repair and maintenance. Familiarity with tanker operations is preferred. Strong understanding of data collection methods and distributed control systems. Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
