• Job Summary The Industrial Wastewater Technician is responsible for operating, maintaining, and monitoring wastewater treatment systems in an industrial setting. This role ensures compliance with environmental regulations while maintaining safe and efficient operations.
• Responsibilities
• Operate and maintain wastewater treatment equipment and systems
• Monitor chemical levels and system performance; make necessary adjustments
• Perform routine sampling, testing, and documentation
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment or process issues
• Maintain accurate logs, reports, and compliance documentation
• Follow safety protocols and handle chemicals safely
• Collaborate with plant and environmental safety teams
• Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED (required)
• Florida Wastewater Operator Certification (Class C or higher preferred)
• 1-2 years of experience in industrial or municipal wastewater operations
• Basic knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and systems
• Ability to lift 50 lbs, work in confined spaces, and tolerate outdoor environments
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
