The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective treatment of water and wastewater, utilizing various techniques and technologies. This role requires a strong understanding of water treatment processes, heavy equipment operation, and the ability to analyze data for optimal performance. Responsibilities Operate and maintain water treatment facilities, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment, including pumps, valves, and tanks. Conduct data collection and analysis to monitor water quality and treatment effectiveness. Utilize distributed control systems and logic controllers for efficient operation of treatment processes. Manage heavy lifting tasks associated with equipment handling and maintenance. Collaborate with team members to build and implement improvements in treatment processes. Assist in wastewater treatment operations, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards. Operate heavy equipment as needed for facility maintenance and upgrades. Requirements Must possess an intermediate or entry level water treatment certification Proven experience in water or wastewater treatment is preferred. Familiarity with plumbing systems and heavy equipment operation is essential. Strong analytical skills to assess water quality data effectively. Experience with tanker operations is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills to work collaboratively within a team environment. Candidate must possess an intermediate or entry level water treatment certification. High school diploma or GED Candidate must possess certification at a level required by the State in which the project is located (Florida) One year of experience in operating water treatment plants; Possess a (DWC) Drinking Water C License with the state of Florida Possess a valid driver’s license. Must be over 21 years of age.
