Pay:

$20.00-26.00 Minimum Qualifications Must possess a valid Florida Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator’s License – Class C High school diploma or GED equivalent Must pass a background check and drug screening Ability to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed Physical ability to perform labor-intensive tasks and work in varying weather conditions Preferred Qualifications Previous experience operating wastewater treatment systems Basic computer and SCADA system proficiency Familiarity with lab testing procedures and water quality analysis Key Responsibilities Operate and monitor all wastewater treatment equipment, controls, gauges, and systems Record and maintain accurate operational data and log entries for regulatory compliance Perform routine and preventive maintenance and repairs on plant equipment and infrastructure Collect and analyze water samples in accordance with regulatory guidelines Conduct laboratory tests to determine chemical, physical, or biological characteristics of water Adjust equipment and process flows to optimize plant performance and ensure compliance Evaluate lab test results and document findings in reports Perform quality control on lab equipment and testing procedures to ensure accuracy Monitor and control chlorine, fluoride, and other chemical levels as needed Train junior or less experienced operators on plant operations and safety procedures Calibrate and maintain instrumentation and controls, including pumps, filters, chart recorders, and SCADA systems Follow and enforce safety procedures and protocols as part of the organization’s Safety Program Special Conditions Candidate must possess a valid Florida Class C Wastewater Operator License Position requires availability for on-call duties and emergency response Must wear PPE and comply with all safety regulations Benefits After successful completion of the probationary period, eligible employees may enroll their family members in
