Job Description
Waste Water Technician 3.8 3.8 out of 5 stars Ormond Beach, FL 32175 We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Wastewater Treatment Technician to join our team in the Ormond Beach area. This position works 12-hour shifts, 4 days per week, and plays a critical role in maintaining environmental compliance and supporting plating operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in hazardous waste handling and a strong understanding of wastewater treatment processes. Pay $16/hr
Key Responsibilities:
Dump, clean, and refill chemical baths as part of routine maintenance and process control. Analyze sampling data to assess metal concentration levels in wastewater. Implement corrective actions to ensure ongoing compliance with environmental regulations. Visually inspect pipelines and equipment to detect leaks, damage, or wear. Recognize hazardous material (HAZMAT) conditions and respond according to safety protocols. Support plating operations by utilizing analytical test methods to monitor and optimize chemical processes. Ensure consistent product quality by adhering to established procedures and testing standards. Maintain accurate records of inspections, sampling, and corrective actions.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in hazardous waste handling or HAZMAT-certified is highly desirable. Familiarity with plating operations and wastewater treatment systems. Ability to read and interpret technical data and environmental compliance guidelines. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Physically able to work on feet for extended periods and perform manual tasks in an industrial setting. This is a drug free workplace.
