GMC is seeking a Technical Specialist for water and wastewater infrastructure projects to join our Atlanta, GA team. This individual will serve as project manager and/or technical lead on municipal drinking and wastewater projects. Foundational Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of the firm’s values and standards for technical excellence and quality Expresses a keen understanding of the industry standards Demonstrates the skills required for effective team contributions to the firm’s success Demonstrates clear expertise in strategic technical arena of interest at GMC Must show level of knowledge above general engineering staff and Project Managers Content with working across state lines as necessary to produce engineering projects Technical Provide design of technical activities in engineering projects Assess project feasibility by analyzing technology, resource needs, or market demand Utilize and educate staff on critical tools for success including software, analysis and research Professional Competencies Client and Customer Focus Present and explain proposals, reports or findings to clients Confer with management, production, or marketing staff to discuss project specifications or procedures Team Orientation Direct, review, or approve project design changes Coordinates with State Technical Leader and Project Managers to provide technical speakers at state, regional and national conferences Connectivity with other technical specialists to elevate one another Company Perspective Represent the firm in all aspects of technical expertise to prospective employees, clients, and the communities we serve Reinforce GMC standards and Core Values to others Communication Coordinate the work of team members on multiple projects Collaborate with sub-consultants and other project team members Provides guidance related to overall technical objectives, critical issues, new concepts and policy matters Continuous Improvement Collaborates in development of new techniques and/or improved processes, materials or products Actively leads GMC committees on technical issues Pursues opportunities to participate in external regional or national committees on technical topics Service Encourage participation and remain proactive in the Personal Development Plan process and program Hold membership in state and national professional societies Participate in community service activities and understand implications of involvement
Minimum Qualifications:
