As asanitation supervisor, you will be responsible for developingsanitation protocols in line with state health and safetyregulations. You will also be required to conduct daily sanitationinspections and oversee staff training.

A TASTE OF WHAT YOU WILL BEDOING

Inspecting the manufacturing process to determine sanitationprotocols. Own facility sanitation program. Ensure overall success of sanitation program to meet foodsafety and quality requirements. Provide guidance on sanitary design of equipment andfacilities. Work closely with other departments to improve sanitationperformance indicators (start-ups, microbial monitoring etc.) Provide support during facility audits. Implement master sanitation schedule. Schedule deep cleans as needed. Develop a working relationship with chemical suppliers toimprove sanitation performance indicators and manage costs. Coordinate and monitor cleaning schedules to ensure coveragefor nights, weekends, and holidays with on-call capability asneeded. Coordinating the services of contractors and external cleaningcrews.

YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS

High school diploma or GED required.

Preferred:

Some level of post-secondary education in foodscience or a similar field preferred but not required. Previous experience as a sanitation supervisor or leadpreferred. Extensive knowledge of the food and beverage industry. PCQI and/or HACCP certification Pest control training.
