Annual Salary Hours:
9pm to 9:30am Monday through Friday This is a Direct Hire position Summary The position is responsible for the operation of the industrial pre-treatment wastewater plant that supports the manufacturing of tofu (no sanitary waste), using an MBBR system. Must maintain reports, update records, perform routine maintenance & repair equipment, perform lab analyses, and manage the use of chemicals Responsibilities of the
Wastewater Operator:
Maintains proper operation of the treatment plant by ensuring all equipment is at the correct settings Perform daily inspections of treatment plant probes, pumps, filters, tanks, and controllers Performs routine and special maintenance on plant probes, pumps, tanks, controllers, drives, and blowers Performs work orders and preventive maintenance work in accordance with PM schedule and enters WO|PMs into asset essentials software Conducts lab analysis for COD & TSS, as well as other analyses as needed Observes variations in operating conditions and interprets readings and test results to determine proper requirements needed for maintaining compliance Provide proper records of the plant including pH of influent and effluent streams, DO levels, turbidity, and chemical usage Provide samples of effluent stream for sampling as needed Additional duties as required Requirements of the
Wastewater Operator:
Have a Grade 4M or above certificate issued by State of Massachusetts If the candidate does not have Grade 4M or above, candidate must be willing to go through training and be tested to receive Grade 4M certificate. Proficient in troubleshooting of equipment (pumps, blowers, drives, sensors) and the use of tools needed to repair and maintain equipment Proficient in various lab procedures and sampling techniques Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Willingness and eagerness to learn Apply Now!
