Sanitation Supervisor – Boston Bakery 3.0 3.0 out of 5 stars 60 Old Colony Avenue, Boston, MA 02127 Our Bakery Sanitation Supervisor supports Tatte’s efforts to provide comfort and joy, and to inspire, care for and nurture life, every day, by overseeing sanitation functions in partnership with the Bakery Operations Manager. This includes but is not limited to ensuring that all sanitation standards are followed and the bakery team complies with all Tatte policies as well as local and government regulations. Additionally, the Bakery Sanitation Supervisor supports the bakery leadership team on initiatives involving sanitation, food safety, team member safety, as well as new deployments and company initiatives. Summary of Responsibilities Ensures all team members are following safety, sanitation and cleanliness policies. Is responsible for compliance with all government sanitation regulations. Assists with managing, directing, and controlling sanitation team shifts. Assists with staffing the sanitation team, including ensuring adequate staffing, onboarding, managing, training and growing all sanitation team members In partnership with the Bakery Operations Manager, assists with planning, including effectively and efficiently managing labor and other expenses Maintains effective relationships with all bakery managers and team members (inside and outside of department) Supports and maintains Tatte brand purpose, essence, mission and values and ensures all Tatte Polices are followed. Provides or assists with providing direct and clear feedback (positive, developmental, disciplinary) to team members Maintains understanding of and follows crisis management procedures Actively participates in management meetings to ensure effective and accurate communication of all relevant product and operational information Other duties, as assigned. Working Conditions / Essential Functions Must be able to stand for 10 hours per shift/day Must be able to lift, carry and push 50lb regularly Must be available to work shifts during the week, weekend and holidays, as needed Position Requirements Desire to help where needed and work as part of a team. Passion for baking with a keen eye for freshness, quality and cleanliness. An appetite for learning (and delicious bakery items). Flexibility to work a variety of shifts. Weekend availability is a must. Ability to read and speak basic English. Must have a can – do, positive attitude and strong communication skills. Other Preferred Skills Prior supervisory experience Understanding and effective management of regulatory standards (e.g., OSHA, FDA inspections, Health Dept., EPA, City and County Inspectors) Familiar with Good Manufacturing Practices Experience managing high performance teams. Spanish language skills are strongly preferred.
