Wastewater Incinerator Operator Position Available In [Unknown county], Missouri

This position is primarily responsible for the proper operation of the sewage sludge incinerator and solids processing systems at the Atherton wastewater treatment facilities. Due to overlapping coverage of the incinerator operator shifts, one incinerator operator may often be assigned duties of a Wastewater Treatment Technician. This position is normally responsible for operating the incinerator and incineration-related systems in a proper, efficient, compliant, and appropriate manner. This position monitors and coordinates the solids storage, solids dewatering and related systems using such information to make operational decisions. The position shall make process control adjustments, do problem-solving and take other responsive actions in connection with the solids processing activities. This position coordinates its responsibilities and operations with personnel working in other areas of the facility to ensure that related and interdependent activities across the treatment plant are coordinated and aligned to produce the most efficient and effective sewage sludge incinerator performance.

Qualifications:

Knowledge of operation and control of a wastewater treatment plant. Knowledge of operation and control of sewage sludge incineration. Experience with incinerator preferred but will train on-the-job. MO Wastewater Operator Certification (A level) preferred but can be obtained within 18 months after hire. Knowledge of office communications equipment and software. Able to work alone, unassisted, or as a member of a team. Must currently possess & maintain valid driver s license & driving record satisfactory to policy.
