The Sanitation Supervisor plays a critical role in maintaining the highest levels of food safety and quality within our manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for overseeing and directing all sanitation activities, ensuring compliance with all relevant food safety regulations, including HACCP, GMP, and SQF.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to : Direct and oversee all daily sanitation activities, ensuring that all production lines and other plant areas are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized according to established procedures and schedules. Develop, implement, and maintain effective sanitation procedures and work instructions. Train and supervise sanitation staff, including conducting on-the-job training, providing feedback, and addressing performance issues. Conduct regular inspections of all production areas, equipment, and facilities to ensure compliance with sanitation standards and identify any potential hazards. Investigate and resolve any sanitation-related issues promptly and effectively. Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance sanitation procedures and improve overall operational efficiency. Promote a strong safety culture within the sanitation team and throughout the facility. Ensure proper use and disposal of all cleaning chemicals in accordance with safety regulations. Participate in monthly safety meetings and other relevant meetings. Assist with the development and implementation of new sanitation technologies and best practices. Maintain accurate records of all sanitation activities, including cleaning logs, inspection reports, and chemical usage records. Order and maintain adequate inventory of all necessary cleaning supplies and chemicals. Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless and efficient sanitation operations. Conduct internal audits and assist with external audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Implement and maintain a robust pest control program.
Safety Compliance:
Ensure the operation of a clean and safe environment as mandated by Old Dutch Vinegar& Mustard, Good Manufacturing Practices, state and Federal Laws. Participate in Monthly Internal audits (inspections). Responsible for Food Safety, Food Quality and SQF program requirements. Updating and communication of all safety data sheets (SDS) as required by the written communication laws of OSHA and the state. HACCP Duties as assigned. HACCP Team member. Follows all program guidelines for Halal and Kosher certifications. Enforces plant GMP’s.
Personal:
Effectively troubleshoot and resolve issues that may arise during the implementation of new processes. Coordinate with supervisor peers and stakeholders to ensure processes align with organizational goals. Experience with process improvement techniques and methodologies Demonstrated leadership experience in a growing and dynamic, multi-million-dollar manufacturing environment. Superior attention to detail with the ability to successfully manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Ability to quickly determine the root cause of issues and develop and implement corrective actions. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to maintain positive working relationships with all levels of management and employees. Intermediate working knowledge of ERP software (Netsuite Preferred), and the Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to read and interpret production metrics and management reports.

High School Diploma or equivalent required and equivalent on the job experience. • Three plus (3+) years of progressively responsible production management experience in a manufacturing environment; hands-on experience with all essential duties.

$55,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
