Gpac is working with a Food Manufacturer near Madison, Wisconsinthat is seeking a Sanitation Manager, 3rd shift , 7pm-5am. Theyhave been in business for 40 years and are currently growing,resulting in a new position.
This position is ideal for someone whoprefers to manage from the floor, not an office, and enjoysmentoring personnel.
Duties and responsibilities:
Oversee 2 plants(within town) from 7pm-5am related to sanitation Develop,implement, and maintain master sanitation schedules, ensuringmaster sanitation schedules and daily housekeeping requirements areexecuted effectively, documented, and filed accordingly Ensureproper equipment sanitation and efficient startups through anunderstanding of the manufacturing process and equipment/partsdesign Ensure all areas of the plant are properly sanitized and ingood repair Work with Quality Assurance and Production tovalidate/verify allergen cleaning effectiveness Order and maintaininventory for Sanitation department materials; manage inventory tokeep within budget Manage chemical control within the Sanitationdepartment, working with chemical provider Ensure proper trainingis completed and documented for the Sanitation team Continuallytrain, monitor and enforce compliance to safety program includingLock Out Tag Out, chemical safety, chemical SDS, etc.; monitordepartment adherence to required PPEs Create, update, and auditsanitation program and all SSOPs to ensure compliance with FDA andGFSI requirements
Qualifications:
3 years of supervisory experienceFamiliarity with sanitation chemicals in order to work with vendorsand address customer complaints
GFSI, FDA
