Wastewater and Water Operators Position Available In Dutchess, New York

Wastewater and Water Operators Sarandrea Associates Group Corp Wappingers Falls, NY 12590 Sarandrea Associates Group Corp (SAGC) is seeking Full and Part-Time New York State Licensed Water and Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators to operate and maintain the water and wastewater treatment facilities at the Hudson Valley Healthcare System Castle Point and Montrose Campuses. Dual certified operators in both water and wastewater are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate and maintain water and wastewater treatment plants in compliance with

NYSDEC , NYSDOH , OSHA

, and other regulatory standards. ​ Perform daily operations, including monitoring, testing, and adjusting plant processes under the direction of the Project Supervisor. ​ Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on plant equipment. ​ Ensure compliance with State Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (SPDES) permits and other environmental regulations. ​ Respond to emergency service calls and perform corrective actions within specified timeframes as directed. ​ Maintain plant cleanliness and ensure a safe working environment. ​

Qualifications:

​ New York State Licensed Wastewater Treatment Operator minimum Grade 2. ​ New York State Licensed Water Treatment Operator minimum ​Grade II A Knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes, including filtration, chlorination, UV systems, sludge digestion, and clarifiers. ​ Ability to perform laboratory testing and interpret results. ​ Ability to perform preventative maintenance on equipment. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
