https ://careers.evonik.com/en/about/meet-the-team/ The Environmental Technician is responsible for the operation of the waste-water treatment facility including running and maintaining equipment, sampling, and analysis in a safe and timely manner. The role will also include some heavy lifting, climbing stairs and routine outdoor activities associated with the plant.

RESPONSIBLITIES

Collect, record, analyze and maintain environmental samples. Conduct the proper and safe handling of hazardous waste, where appropriate (e.g. sampling and/or filling of hazardous waste containers, transfer hazardous waste to proper locations, etc.). Participate in all mandatory training and training refreshers. Back-up for Environmental Specialist including sampling, testing, and other duties as needed/assigned. Complete all assigned training on time. Adhere to all Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security procedures and rules Conduct other Environmental, Health, and Safety activities as assigned Perform lab analysis and process monitoring

REQUIREMENTS 3-5

years manufacturing or wastewater treatment experience required; chemical plant experience preferred. High School Diploma required, Associate’s degree in Science preferred Is familiar with or can become familiar with federal, state and local environmental regulations Strong demonstrated technical application, problem solving, organization and communication skills Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively across all levels of the organization. Results oriented, self-motivated, self-directed and ability to multitask in a dynamic environment Ability to understand, and implement Environmental, Health and Safety regulations Risk and Hazard sensitive Ability to work indoors and outdoors

Summary Compensation & Benefits:

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. (Specific rate to be determined, but not limited to, geographic location, education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data).

Pay Range:
