Water Treatment Systems Operator Position Available In Erie, New York

Water Treatment Systems Operator NRD LLC Grand Island, NY 14072 NRD, LLC is looking to hire a Water Treatment Systems Operator to join our team. In this role, you will have a wide variety of Support System and waste management responsibilities to support Operations at the facility. Essential Functions Comply with prescribed safety procedures or federal laws regulating waste disposal methods. Operate machinery to dispose of liquid, including pumps, Reverse Osmosis water treatment units, Shredders and Compactors Tag operational trash with proper labels for disposal Respond to hazard waste cleanup and fluid spills Load or unload materials into containers or onto trucks, pallet jacks or forklifts. Prepare hazardous material for removal or storage. Build containment areas prior to beginning abatement or decontamination work. Clean, monitor and provide general maintenance on all instruments and machinery Prepare reports and documents, including assisting with completion of effluent reports Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies Notify supervisor of any major repairs needed while inspecting, purchase needed supplies Follow all safety rules and regulations Able to become involved in other duties as assigned including health physics operations. Qualifications Authorized to work in the US High School Diploma or equivalent 2 years’ experience working with HAZMAT Must be at least 18 years of age Proven oral and written communication skills required.
