Water and Wastewater Operator Position Available In Orange, New York

Water and Wastewater Operator SEBI Environmental Services Orange County, NY Duties:

• Operate and maintain water and wastewater treatment equipment and systems
• Monitor and analyze water and wastewater samples to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance tasks on equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions
• Maintain accurate records of plant operations and maintenance activities
• Assist in the construction, installation, and modification of wastewater treatment facilities
• Monitor and adjust chemical dosages as necessary
• Perform heavy lifting and manual labor as required
• Team player

Requirements:

• Basic math skills for calculations and measurements
• Ability to maintain, water and wastewater treatment equipment
• Strong analytical skills to analyze wastewater samples and make adjustments as needed
• Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and manual labor tasks
• Knowledge of water or wastewater treatment processes and regulations is preferred but not required
• Computer Skills
• Able to lead and train management/supervisor background a plus
• Dependable
• Networking
• Environmental background experience with talking to and reports to the Dept of Health and/or DEC
• CLEAN
