Food sanitation is protection from contamination. All functions and operations must be included in the sanitation program. All food products must be protected from contamination from receiving through distribution. Sanitation is a dynamic and ongoing function and must be managed consistently Schneider’s Dairy is currently seeking a skilled individual to fill the full-time position of Sanitation Manager Supervisor at our Pittsburgh office location. This position is responsible for, but not limited to, meeting safety, quality and production goals in addition to directly supervising sanitation/ production.

Responsibilities:

Technical Training Available Learn and support Schneider’s food safety program, sanitation practices, quality standards, and training techniques. Responsible for the overall cleanliness of the plant, equipment, cold room, and environmental areas as well as the manufacture of safe, quality food Manage, develop, and oversee SSOP’s to ensure sanitation program is complaint with our Global Certification SQF Program Maintain excellent documentation and up-to-date records to monitor and ensure compliance with SSOP of

HACCP/SQF

audit requirements Maintain strict communications with quality assurance to minimize, act on, and eliminate any and all product contamination characteristics Guide employees through established objectives, policies, rules, practices, methods and standards. Personnel training includes appropriate sanitation principles and food handling practices, manufacturing controls, and personal hygiene practices Direct the department workforce to maximize product quality and safety, production specifications, production yields, productivity, and the maintenance of a safe workplace Manage the enhancement of both technical and financial performance of the second shift. Direct workforce as a crew to complete the nights production and sanitation. Work as a team! Promote employee participation in improving work processes via proactive communications and employee/management engagement Observe all good manufacturing practices, awareness of food defense plan, and reporting off standard or abnormal conditions Must become an HACCP Certified, SQF Practitioner, and Serve Safe Trainer•Training Available Complete post sanitation inspections of areas, titration of chemicals, and swabbing of equipment Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications & Skills B.S. in Microbiology, Biology, Chemistry or equivalent OR 5 years of manufacturing/sanitation experience required Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Strong leadership and team-building skills Must be able to work in a fast-paced and ever changing work environment Possess strong written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and time management skills; impeccable attention to detail Shift starts at 7:00PM Benefits Health Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401(k) Disability Insurance Life Insurance Paid time off Employee discount
