We are seeking a water/wastewater treatmentoperator in Northern LA County and Kern County. Why join us? 6month Contract to hire- visiting multiple water/wastewatertreatment facilities in northern LA country and Kern County Fullbenefits while on contract include: Company Vehicle Medical,dental, vision and 401k (75% paid for worker, 25% for dependents)40 hours sick pay Once brought on permanent the following benefitsapply. 100% paid benefits medical, dental, and vision for employeeand 2/3 of healthcare costs for family 401K 11 paid holidays 1floating holiday of your choosing 80 hours sick pay each year 80hours vacation each year (accrued 6.68/month) Job Details Providesupport to the Supervising Operator Maintain logs of dailyactivities Perform field duties related to installing, repairing,and maintaining water/wastewater systems. Provide janitorialservices as directed Provide landscaping maintenance as requiredAssist in road maintenance and repair Repair basic equipment suchas chemical feed pumps, water pumps, etc. Repair water leaks onmainline and service lines Assist with flushing of sanitary systemand clearing of blocked sewer lines Perform routine maintenance onequipment and vehicles Read water meters Perform routine weekendchecks of Facilities Recognize and follow safe water conditions inall job duties performed Perform other duties or special projectsas directed by the supervisor Occasional travel may be requiredPerforms skilled and semi-skilled tasks in the operation andmaintenance of the water treatment plant
EXPERIENCE ANDQUALIFICATIONS
California Water Treatment Certification Grade II orhigher (required) California Water Distribution Certification GradeII or higher (required) California Wastewater TreatmentCertification Grade II or higher (required) Possession of a validCalifornia Driver’s License (Class C), with a clean driving recordKnowledge of basic equipment and vehicle maintenance Above averagecomputer and GPS skills (working knowledge of
MS Office Suite:
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) A positive can-do attitude,team player, and independent worker Good written and verbalcommunication skills Preferred Qualifications California WaterTreatment Certification Grade II or higher California WaterDistribution Certification Grade II or higher California WastewaterTreatment Certification Grade II or higher Interested in hearingmore?
