Environmental Technician 3.6 3.6 out of 5 stars Westminster, SC 29693 A leading manufacturer in the automotive industry is seeking a dependable and experienced Environmental Technician for its facility in Westminster, SC. This role is responsible for operating the facility’s waste pre-treatment systems to meet all internal and external requirements on a daily basis. This is a direct hire position with full benefits!

Responsibilities:

Operate, maintain and clean the facility’s wastewater pre-treatment systems Coordinate all shipments of hazardous waste from facility. Coordinate with the local POTW with routine sampling program. Collect all samples for solid waste analysis on an annual basis. Inspect Haz Waste storage and satellite accumulation sites. Maintain housekeeping in wastewater building, monitor outside grounds housekeeping, & EQ tank. Conduct storms drain audits. Complete daily log sheets. Input data into database. Conduct testing for pH, chrome and cyanide, Cu, Zn, conductivity. Be aware of and react to data/system trends. Calibrate, troubleshoot and repair wastewater systems. Operate and maintain wastewater treatment system. Operate and maintain wastewater scrubber. Follow the Quality Management System and Environmental Management System guidelines on a daily basis.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED from an accredited school. 2-year technical degree preferred. Working towards a class A P/C waste water license. Basic mechanical skills Meet or exceed yearly department objectives. Technical background in waste water and solid waste rules in South Carolina, and Federal regulations

Pay Rate:

$ 22-25/Hour, Based on
