Wastewater Treatment Operator Arcway Westminster, SC 29693 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Wastewater Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment facilities, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and standards. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Responsibilities Operate and monitor wastewater treatment equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance. Collect and analyze data related to water quality, flow rates, and system efficiency. Perform routine maintenance on equipment, including pumps, valves, and tanks. Troubleshoot issues with distributed control systems and implement necessary repairs. Conduct heavy lifting tasks as required for equipment installation and maintenance. Maintain accurate records of operations, maintenance activities, and compliance reports. Collaborate with team members to ensure safety protocols are followed at all times. Assist in the training of new operators on facility operations and safety procedures. Experience Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in wastewater treatment or similar fields. Familiarity with data collection techniques and analysis related to water quality management. Experience operating heavy equipment is preferred; certification in tanker operations is a plus. Basic math skills for calculations related to chemical dosing and flow rates. Ability to plumb systems effectively as part of maintenance tasks.
