Job Description VeoliaWater Technologies, Inc. is currently seeking an entry levelWastewater Operator to work in the Morenci AZ area to learndifferent wastewater treatment processes. This position isresponsible for learning and controlling treatment plants,machines, and equipment to clarify and purify water and wastewaterfor permitted industrial uses.

Essential Duties andResponsibilities:

Learn to operate and control electric motors,pumps, and valves to regulate flow of water into treatmentfacilities. Learn to collect and test water samples to determineconcentration levels and impurities. Learn to perform all scheduledmaintenance, service, and new installations of water treatmentequipment. Learn to be responsible for accurate record keeping ofclient data such as residual content of chemicals, water turbidity,and water pressure. Comply with all client safety parameters.

Provide regular communication with fellow operators and managementof any non-routine operating parameters that occur. May beresponsible for assisting with compiling data for the EnvironmentalProtection Agency. Coordinate with other operators throughout thecustomers plant in order to maintain the plants water treatmentequipment. Learn to coordinate with Veolia’s purchasing departmentto order wastewater treatment supplies, such as equipment andchemicals, in order to maintain the client’s wastewater treatmentequipment. Learn to troubleshoot problems within client’swastewater treatment equipment and coordinate repairs as necessary.

On an individual basis, study for either the physical/chemical orbiological wastewater certification exam. (Training material isprovided) Be able to work different shifts (days, evenings, nights)as well as length of shifts (8 to 12 hrs). Will require travel toseveral locations outside of the area that you originally appliedfor. Travel could be anywhere from 1 to 3 weeks away from home tolearn new treatment processes. Could be as much as 75% travel awayfrom home to learn new wastewater treatment processes/systems.

Qualifications Education and Experience Requirements:

. High schooldiploma or equivalent. Must be proficient with MS Office or googleapps. 3 – 5 years of related work experience.
