South Carolina Class B or Higher Wastewater Operator Certification Required Job Summary This position has responsibility for the successful operation of the wastewater treatment plant. Responsibilities Perform all aspects of sampling, monitoring and testing required to maintain compliance with Federal, State and Local regulations governing the wastewater treatment process and management Operates sewage treatment, sludge processing, and disposal equipment to control flow and processing of sewage Perform daily checks of the wastewater treatment process and periodic checks of pump stations Responsible for preventative maintenance of plant equipment and perform repairs of machinery and equipment as needed Read and interpret meters and gauges that monitor the purification process and operation Collects and records data for record maintenance and reporting Performs facility grounds maintenance including cleaning equipment and tanks Perform general landscape maintenance including mowing, trimming, clean-ups, pruning, and other typical landscape maintenance tasks Performs other related duties as directed #ZR Job Listings – ClearWater Solutions Job Qualifications High school diploma or GED Wastewater Treatment Operator B or Higher Certification required Valid driver’s license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Records required Experience within a water treatment environment Ability to work independently Strong attention to detail Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Requires the ability to read, write, compile, and analyze data and reports daily Ability to monitor control panels, gauges, and meters to ensure proper plant operation Must be available to work weekends, overtime and ‘on-call’ as needed
