Position Overview:

The Wastewater Treatment Plant Superintendent is responsible for overseeing the daily construction operations of the new construction and renovations of wastewater treatment facilities, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and optimizing plant performance. This role involves managing staff, maintaining equipment, and implementing strategies for efficient wastewater management.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and supervise the construction of the wastewater treatment plant.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding wastewater treatment.
Develop and implement operational procedures to optimize treatment processes.
Oversee maintenance and repair of plant equipment and infrastructure.
Conduct regular inspections and audits of the facility to ensure operational efficiency.
Prepare and manage the plant budget, including forecasting and resource allocation.
Supervise and train plant staff, fostering a safe and productive work environment.
Collaborate with other departments and agencies on projects and initiatives related to wastewater management.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in wastewater treatment construction, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and technologies.
Experience with regulatory compliance and reporting in the wastewater sector.
