Description Operates and repairs various equipment and infrastructure of the Hamilton County Water and Wastewater Treatment Authority (WWTA) sanitary sewer collection system and wastewater treatment system, and inspects service connections and new sewer construction, ensures compliance with WWTA’s Sewer Use Rules and Regulations, investigates complaints relating to areas of responsibility
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Minimum Qualifications The equivalent of a high school diploma, plus one (1) year of experience driving multi-axle trucks, vacuum/jetter trucks, pumper trucks, or operating heavy equipment. A minimum of a valid Class “B” CDL is required at the time of application. A Tanker Endorsement must be obtained within six (6) months of date of hire. WWTA will provide training and cover the cost to obtain a Tanker Endorsement. Or Any equivalent combination of training, education, or work experience driving multi-axle trucks, vacuum/jetter trucks, pumper trucks that would provide the skills and knowledge to complete the duties of the position. A minimum of a valid Class “B” CDL is required at the time of application. A Tanker Endorsement must be obtained within six (6) months of date of hire. WWTA will provide training and cover the cost to obtain a Tanker Endorsement.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
A valid Class “A” CDL is preferred but not required A Hazardous Material endorsement is preferred but not required. WWTA will provide training and cover the cost to obtain a Hazardous Material Endorsement.
SAFETY SENSITIVE
This position has been identified as “safety sensitive” under the definition of 49 CFR Part 40-Department of Transportation Workplace Drug and Alcohol Policy. This position will be subject to drug and alcohol testing for the following: 1) post offer pre-employment 2) when there is reasonable cause 3) after an on-the-job accident or contributing to an accident 4) on a random basis 5) prior to return to duty after suspension and/or 6) as follow-up. This is additional and also subject to the Rules and Regulations of The Employee Handbook.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to walk, sit, bend, kneel, stoop communicate, reach, and manipulate objects. This position requires mobility, including the ability to frequently lift or move materials up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 150 pounds. This position requires the ability to operate vacuum/jetter combination truck, pumper truck, crane truck, and motorized vehicles. Required to enter confined spaces.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Candidates must have the ability to respond to emergency after hour call-outs, including on holidays and weekends, and participate in a stand by or on-call rotation.
