Job Description:
- Experienced on automated machines such as mills, lathes, benders, drill presses, shears and other equipment.
- Working knowledge of machine shop operations, fabrication, and model making.
- Ability to use test equipment, tools and other types of equipment such as electronic measuring devices.
- Performs fusion welding on aircraft and ground support equipment to a qualified Welding Procedures Specification (WPS).
- Performs structural welding on parts and components per the requirements of specifications as prescribed by Engineering Drawings and Work Orders.
- Read and understand engineering drawings and welding symbols.
- Fabricates manufacture-welded parts from engineering drawing without direct supervision.
- Repair of assemblies, subassemblies, and circuit card assemblies.
- Performs welding and torch brazing ensuring the procedure is completed per the requirements of the national welding and brazing codes and specifications.
- Machinist must be able to weld a wide variety of materials such as aluminum, magnesium, alloyed and low alloy steel, stainless steel and nickel alloy steels.
- Work with little to no supervision and ability to communicate effectively with good customer service skills.
- Provide other logistical support as needed
- Able to use a computer and basic hand tools (wrenches, drills, screwdrivers, pliers, etc).
- Able to operate various forklifts and government vehicles.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Machinist certification is preferred.
- Adhere to the company’s AS9100 and quality policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:
- 3 years’ experience in fabrication and modeling parts for missile related equipment and 2 years of specialized experience in using automated machines such as lathes, CNC and Water-Jet Machines, presses, benders, shears and a variety of welding techniques.
- Plus 5 years’ experience in fabrication and modeling parts for missile related equipment.
- OR substitute 6 years related experience with no degree.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Machinist certification is preferred. Secret security clearance is required.
