Job Summary:

Our client, a leading player in the aerospace industry, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Technician I for their Huntsville, Alabama location. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team, working in a fast-paced and innovative environment.

Job Responsibilities:

Execute welding processes on aluminum, steel, and alloy parts to meet required standards.
Follow engineering drawings and specifications for layout and welding of parts and assemblies.
Monitor and verify quality in line with statistical processes or other control procedures.
Use standard specialized equipment for welding metal components and parts.
Perform tests on welded surfaces to evaluate weld quality and conformance to specifications.
Carry out periodic maintenance on machines with complex pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.

Skills Required:

The ideal candidate is an entry-level professional from the aerospace industry.
Candidates with experience in textiles or automotive industries, particularly in roles requiring tight tolerances, are also encouraged to apply.
Candidates with 1 to 2 years of hands-on work or trade school may be considered, but should be aware that the role involves repetitive tasks and standing for most of the day.
Ability to perform repetitive tasks and handle manual labor.
Experience with precision tools such as micrometers, calipers, and torque wrenches.
Basic understanding of engineering drawings.
Problem-solving skills and ability to articulate issues.
Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably aerospace.
Ability to read a ruler and understand measurements.

Additional Details:

This role involves manual labor, including laying down foil and torquing large bolts.
The role is based on-site and may involve optional overtime.
Training will be provided on the assigned shift, likely for a duration of 1 week.
