  • Ability to pass A Class skills evaluation test to demonstratewelding ability for full penetration joint details Demonstrated ability to weld fillets for material thicknesses4mm
  • 25mm Demonstrated ability to weld gusset toe and wraps with minimalblending required.

Demonstrated ability to weld frame wraps and terminations withminimal blending required. Demonstrated ability to weld T-Bar wraps and terminations withminimal blending required. Demonstrated ability to weld into corners / verticalintersections with minimal blending required Demonstrated ability to evaluate and correct basic weld pickup, with minimal supervision Demonstrated ability to terminate stich welds with minimal weldcorrection to address minor cosmetic or weld defects Demonstrated ability to weld continuously for 400mm Demonstrated ability to back step and sequence weld based uponprovided information and/or good welding practices Demonstrated ability to weld multi-pass fillets with onlycosmetic correction required Good mechanical aptitude with ability to produce consistentquality Ability to inspect and correct basic weld pick-up withoutsupervision Good listening and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills Excellent hand-eye coordination; good spatial orientation Ability to consistently meet production deadlines Ability to read and interpret and work from constructiondrawings, job specifications, instruction manuals, manufacturer’shandbooks, change orders and contract specifications to obtain weldsizing information and material edge preparation requirements Ability and willingness to work with and to teach less-skilledworkers Ability to maintain and perform routine preventive maintenanceon welding equipment Ability to wear required PPE•

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Working in compliance with all safety, quality, environmentaland health requirements, weld a variety of configurationsincluding, but not limited to: Single-pass and multi-pass fillets in all positions, for alljoint and material thickness configurations Multi-pass full penetration joint details, for all joint andmaterial thickness configurations May instruct and mentor less-skilled welders, as assigned Works with a sense of urgency, efficiency and productive output Ability to work shifts or overtime as required, must beflexible Maintain housekeeping, keep worksite free of rubbish, keepmaterials and equipment stowed in an orderly manner Capable of keeping waste of consumables and material to anabsolute minimum

  • TOOLS:

    Miller saws, sanders, grinders, burrmotors, band saws, skill saws, saws-all, weld machine andapplicable components etc.

This role involvesworking under extreme hot or cold conditions and requires thephysical ability to stand for the entire shift, use hands forvarious tasks, ascend stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk,and hear. Team members must occasionally lift items weighing up to50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required include close, distant,and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability tofocus.
