OneSubsea, located in Mobile, Alabama is looking to add severalTIG  Welders – Orbital and Manual , to the team. Must be willingto work on-site in Mobile, Alabama and work day/night shifts. Novisa sponsorship available at this time .
Job Summary :
Buildswelding programs (Orbital & Manual) with little to no engineeringoversight. Reviews engineering drawings and specifications to planwelding operations where procedural information is unavailable.
Assemble and install parts on products per production instructions,procedures and drawings, and execute tasks including but notlimited to bending tubes to meet proper interface, prepping the endof the product for termination, needs taking proper care not todamage product components such as electrical cables, torque/tensionfasteners as required, mixing potting material, etc. Properlyrecord traceability information during the work activities Createstemplates and other work aids to hold and align parts. Determinestype of welding to be used, such as metallic arc, inert gas,electrode, and oven treatment, applying knowledge of metals to bejoined, contours and angles to be formed, and specified stresstolerances. Inspects grooves, angles, gap allowances, and relatedaspects of assembly to ensure conformance to specifications, usingmicrometer, caliper, and related precision measuring instruments.
Understands how changes to the preparation of the tube/materialwill change the inputs required for welding. Performs work andtroubleshooting requiring knowledge of the welding properties ofvarious types of metals, welding rods, welding heats, stressrelief, allowances for fit-up and machining, and the effect ofshrinkage, warpage and expansion Achieve, maintain, and activelyperform certified orbital and certified manual (hand) OSS weldingprocedures inspected according to the relevant quality program(typically ultrasonic and/or radiographic, die penetrant and bendtesting). Performs assembly of medium complexity components -umbilical terminations and distribution equipment. Activelyparticipate on and strictly follow standards of the LeanManufacturing Program & Health, Safety, Security, and Environmentprograms. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Job Qualifications:
5years of TIG welding experience, manual/hand or orbital onStainless or Non-Ferrous Materials Manufacturing experiencerequired. High school Diploma or GED. Associate Degree in welding(or equivalent), preferred Preferred previous Experience in similarroles.
