Look no further!!! We are expanding and have multiple career openings in Pell City at our fabrication shop. We are looking for a skilled Welder at our fabrication shop. The structural steel you fabricate is used to build structural steel buildings. This is a 2nd Shift Position Responsibilities Set up components for welding according to specifications (e.g. cut material to match measurements) Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded Align components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions. Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety Skills Proven experience as welder Must be able to read a tape measure Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.) Deftness and attention to detail You will be required to pass a horizontal weld test You will be required to pass a drug test
