Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fitter/Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in welding and fabrication, working with a variety of metals and processes to produce high-quality weldments. This role requires precision, the ability to read and interpret blueprints, and a strong commitment to safety and craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities :
Layout, fit-up, tack, and weld components to create weldments or sub-weldments according to project specifications. Weld various metals (aluminum, steel, stainless steel) using a full range of welding processes in multiple positions (horizontal, vertical, etc.). Interpret and work from engineering drawings, blueprints, work instructions, operation/process sheets, and other documentation. Operate manual welding machines for bare metal and flux core welding, as well as plasma and oxy-fuel cutting equipment. Utilize pneumatic tools such as grinders, sanders, drills, and thread-tapping equipment to assist with fit-up and preparation. Use fixtures to layout, locate, and position parts and features for welding and rework. Fabricate simple parts, such as spacers and tie-bars, using tools like a band saw as required. Inspect completed work for accuracy and quality using precision measuring instruments to ensure compliance with specifications.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience in welding and fabrication in a manufacturing environment. Ability to pass a GMAW weld test for steel in both horizontal and vertical positions. Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting manufacturing blueprints and engineering drawings. Experience with a variety of welding processes, including GMAW, FCAW, and others. Familiarity with cutting tools and equipment, such as plasma torches and oxy-fuel systems. Strong attention to detail, with the ability to perform precise measurements and inspections. Commitment to safety practices and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with aluminum and stainless steel. Additional certifications in welding or fabrication techniques. Benefits
