Our New Haven plant was built in 2012, became operational in 2013,and presently employs a staff of 50 people directly and anadditional 200 people indirectly within Connecticut. We areseeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent IndustrialWelder to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, youwill be tasked with various welding duties to ensure the successand efficiency of our manufacturing processes. This is an excellentopportunity for a seasoned professional to apply their skills andexpertise in a challenging and rewarding environment.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Industrial Welder, your keyresponsibilities will include: 1. Performing complex weldingoperations on a variety of metals and alloys to fabricate or repairproducts, materials, and equipment. 2. Reading and interpretingblueprints, diagrams, sketches, and written instructions to performwelding tasks accurately. 3. Using a variety of welding techniquessuch as MIG, TIG, and arc welding, and operating welding equipmentsafely and effectively. 4. Monitoring the fitting, burning, andwelding processes to avoid overheating, distortion, or shrinkage.5. Maintaining and repairing all welding equipment and machineryfor optimal performance. 6. Inspecting completed welds to ensurethey meet quality standards and specifications. 7. Collaboratingwith the design and production teams to ensure the accuracy andquality of all welding tasks. 8. Adhering to all safety protocolsand workplace policies.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for thePermanent Industrial Welder role should have the followingqualifications: 1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as anindustrial welder or in a similar role in the manufacturingindustry. 2. Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and arc welding techniques,and the ability to operate a wide range of welding equipment. 3.Exceptional skills in reading and interpreting blueprints,diagrams, and written instructions. 4. A strong understanding ofmetallurgy and the welding properties of a variety of metals andalloys. 5. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability totroubleshoot welding issues effectively. 6. A keen eye for detailand a commitment to producing high-quality work. 7. Strong physicalstamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and work inchallenging conditions. 8. A valid welding certification from arecognized institution. 9. A strong commitment to safety protocolsand workplace policies. 10. Excellent communication and teamworkskills.
