POSITION SUMMARY
Welds metal components together with brazing and a variety of arc and glass welding equipment to adequately brace molds, glass masters, and splashes.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBLITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Welding metal parts together using both gas welding or brazing and any combination of arc welding processes. Performing related tasks such as cutting, grinding and gunking parts.
Repairing broken or cracked parts, filling holes, and increasing the size of metal parts.
Positioning and clamping together components of fabricated metal products for welding.
Must follow proper procedures in the safe handling of hazardous wastes, which may be generated during the manufacturing process.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
Three to six months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as prints, safety rules, material safety data sheets (MSDS), tool equipment operation, maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and company policies.
MATHEMATIC SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages. Ability to use tape measure.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but simple written or oral instructions. Under normal circumstances, the ability to resolve problems involving a few issues.
