PM Key Responsibilities:
Perform a wide variety of manual TIG welds, ranging from routine to complex, on stainless steel and aluminum alloys (notably 347 Stainless and 4043 Aluminum). Apply AWS D17.1-compliant welding practices to ensure precision, repeatability, and visual excellence. Fabricate high-end, artistic-quality welds with wire feeding by hand—mirroring the craftsmanship found in custom automotive and motorcycle intake manifolds . Interpret and execute to engineering drawings, weld symbols, and technical documentation with high accuracy. Collaborate with engineering teams on new product development and experimental material testing . Adjust processes within specified parameters to maintain conformance to tight tolerances and exacting quality standards. Ensure product and process integrity through continuous inspection, defect detection, and appropriate corrective action. Provide mentorship and support to less experienced welders, contributing to a team-based, high-performance culture. Maintain an organized, FOD-free (Foreign Object Debris) workspace in accordance with lean manufacturing and 5S principles. Support lean initiatives such as value stream mapping, cell setup, and continuous improvement activities .
Qualifications & Requirements:
Minimum 3-5 years of
TIG/GTAW
welding experience , with demonstrable expertise in both stainless steel and aluminum welding . Strong preference for candidates with technical/vocational training in welding or fabrication. Prior experience with custom fabrication in automotive, motorcycle, or aerospace applications highly desired. Must be able to pass a hands-on weld test : 1G Stainless Steel
- 40,000 1G Aluminum
- 40,000 2F Fillet Weld
- 40,000 (Candidates must bring their own helmet for testing) Visual acuity including near/distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Physical ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs occasionally and perform in environments with high heat, mechanical parts, fumes, and occasional exposure to electrical risks. High School Diploma or GED (Required and will be verified).
Additional Requirements:
All applicants must submit photographic samples of recent welds (preferably on stainless steel and aluminum) along with their resume for consideration. Candidates must demonstrate an artistic approach to weld quality , with smooth, consistent beads and wire-hand feeding techniques.
