Summary/Objective Capable of performing a variety of welding functions in allpositions on structural plate and 6G pipe with SMAW, FCAW and GTAW.Willingness to cross train for multi-function structural and pipingassembly processes Essential Functions Fluent in understanding job specific WPS /PQR’s and capable of setting machine up for performance in allpositions to certified testing criteria. Analyze blueprints forweld insignia and the application thereof to assembly components onpiping and structural systems. The ability to identify correctly,measured, hand dressed, cut, and fit prepare metal surfaces forwelding process to be completed per job specific requirements.
Capable of visual observation of pre- and post-welded surfaces; andthe interpretation of fulfilled job requirements with micrometer,caliper and other precision measuring instruments. Technicallyproficient in the interpretation of insufficient weld criteria andknowledge to efficiently blend to repair. Strong mechanicalaptitude and problem solver who can understand and followinstruction. Accountability for completion of daily workassignments while monitoring quality, safety, and healthregulations. Operate overhead cranes and or forklifts. Complieswith all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements andphysically / medically qualified to wear required PPE per OSHAstandards. Responsibilities may require sedentary work, includingbut not limited to computer operation, video review, classroom oronline training, job observations/inspections, and peer workreview. Work Environment This position operates out of a fabrication facility. Whileperforming the duties of this job, the employee is sometimesexposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts andvibration. Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. First shift days and hours of workare Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Second shift days and hours of work are Monday through Thursday,2:30 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. Occasional weekend work may be required asjob duties demand. Travel Travel is primarily not required with exception to local travelduring the business day. Required Education and Experience High school diploma or GED.Experience in threading, grinding, welding, brazing, rigging,plasma cutting, gas arc cutting. Related experience ortraining. Preferred Education and Experience 6+ Years’ experience in WeldingSMAW, FCAW and GTAW, or a combination. 2 years vocational technicaltraining. Additional Eligibility Qualifications Must have dependable transportation, valid driver’s license, cleanback-ground check, and random drug screening consent. Work Authorization Must be authorized to work in USA.
