Job Summary:

Chancey Metals, LLC, a leading manufacturer of commercial stair and railing systems, is seeking an experienced Installer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have welding and installation experience, with certifications being a plus. This is a full-time position on the day shift, Monday through Friday, with the potential for overtime and overnight travel. The responsibilities include safely installing staircases, railing, and structural steel components, as well as operating various equipment and following safety protocols. Pre-employment background checks and drug screening are required.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Perform other types of weld based on project needs Verify material sizes De-bur and grind metal as necessary to achieve proper surface texture Interpret drawings to cut, notch, fit, and weld materials to proper specifications Monitor and verify the accuracy of each job’s initial set-up and final outcome Run a variety of equipment like forklifts, saws, grinders and more. Good communication skills with supervisor, installation team and general contractors a must May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor Follow all safety requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:

Knowledge of welding practices Knowledge of reading blueprint drawings, specifications and dimensions Must be able to communicate in English (both written and oral) as it relates to the job. Bilingual in Spanish a plus Must possess basic math skills to include but not limited to adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, geometry and algebra for the purpose calculating material fabrication

Education and Experience:

Construction 1-year preferred Experience in mig and stick steel welding and Certification a plus Installation experience a plus Experience in operating powered industrial equipment. Certification a plus

$17.00 – $21.00 per hour
