Overview

As a Welder, you will be responsible for the fabrication, maintenance, and repair of terminal equipment and structures. Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
Perform welding and metal fabrication (MIG, TIG, stick) on containers, equipment, and terminal infrastructure.
Carry out structural repairs in accordance with safety standards and operational needs.
Inspect welds and completed work to ensure compliance with technical requirements.
Collaborate with mechanics, electricians, and terminal operations teams to coordinate repair and maintenance efforts.
Operate material-handling and welding equipment safely and efficiently.
Support preventice maintenance schedules and respond to emergency repair requests.
Maintain detailed records of work performed and materials used.
Always follow Logistec’s safety procedures, environmental policies, and core values.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
6 months minimum experience with Stick, MIG or Tack welding or similar
Educational training may be substituted for work experience
Understanding and knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and equipment used for heavy industrial equipment repair and maintenance. Ability to read, write, speak, and communicate effectively in English
Ability to obtain a TWIC card (for more information visit the TSA website on TWIC requirements)
Valid US driver’s license

Scheduling:
Maintenance can expect shift work type scheduling including nights and weekends as needed.
Compensation and Benefits:
$20-$26/hr. Based on experience

Other Details:
As a port employer our team is subject to working in all weather conditions including extreme heat and harsh winters. We work in all weather conditions. All employees must pass a background check, drug screening, and pre-employment physical and be able to obtain a valid TWIC card within a specified period of hire. Able to work in tight or closed-spaces
Able to climb stairs and work at various heights
Able to lift 25-50 lbs. unassisted and regularly. Other duties as assigned by management.
