We are seeking an experienced Landing Gear Technician – Senior Polisher to join our team in Medley, FL . Reporting to the Shop Supervisor, the ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that components are free from surface discrepancies and meet the quality standards defined in overhaul manuals. This is a hands-on position that requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to follow technical specifications precisely.
Responsibilities:
Disassemble, clean, and inspect landing gear components for wear, corrosion or damage Polish components both prior to and following the machining process to remove imperfections and ensure surface quality Follow strict tolerances and OEM repair manuals to ensure parts are restored to airworthiness standards Use precision measurement tools such as dial bores, calipers, and micrometers to verify part dimensions Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, company policies, and safety procedures Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical orders, process specifications, and retrofit requirements to perform structural modification/repair Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company and OSHA standards
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required 3+ years of hands-on experience in component polishing or a similar role, preferably in aerospace or mechanical environments Ability to read and interpret work instructions and technical specifications, sit, stand, bend, reach, and move throughout the facility for extended periods.
