The Area Mech Welder II is responsible for welding repairs across the Walt Disney World Parks and Resort Property. The field service position may include work from elevated platforms and confined spaces throughout the Walt Disney World Parks and Resort property. The pay rate for this role in Florida is $39.38 per hour.

Responsibilities:

Maintain a minimum of four certifications annually
Daily work using metals, mild steel, stainless steel, or aluminum
Cast members may be required to handle cleaning chemicals and supplies
Additional Personal Protective Equipment (face shields, goggles, refillable hand sanitizers, etc.) may be required

Basic Qualifications:

Valid Florida driver’s license
5 years’ of welding experience
Perform the following types of welding processes
GTAW(TIG)

  • 6G Position with multiple materials
    SMAW(Stick)
  • 6G Position with multiple materials
    FCAW(Flux Core)
  • 1G, 2G, 3G and 4G Position with multiple materials
    GMAW(MIG)
  • 1G, 2G, 3G and 4G Position with multiple materials
    Proficient at the following activities
    Weld Safety Practices including Weld Fume Mitigation
    Weld Procedure Specification (WPS) Knowledge
    Demonstrate blue print reading skills including weld symbols
    Fixture design and fabrication
    Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
    Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
    Proficiency in standard office software programs and mobile electronic devices
